Lettering Workshops for Design Agencies and Creative Businesses
This is a package for creative agencies who want to upskill their designers in lettering. This day-long workshop will teach a mixture of brush lettering techniques, how to draw different styles of letters using one simple method and vectoring techniques which speed up workflow and create the most professional results.
The workshop is packed with live demonstrations and practical tips that attendees will put into action throughout the morning session, with my guidance. In the afternoon, we focus on refining and vectorising sketches in Adobe Illustrator, using industry-standard techniques and correct point placement specific to lettering and type design. Learning the proper methodology for vectorising type quickly raises the standard of work and efficiency within creative teams.
The workshops can also be used as a way to get people away from their desks for the day and let them try something more hands-on and analogue. It's a good way for teams to gather around a table and enjoy a non-client-related task without the demands of the usual workday. It gets people feeling inspired and thinking creatively while opening people up to a new set of skills that can be used in client projects. The sessions can be as formal or informal as you like, it can be all pen and paper and no digitising if you prefer a more analogue day – I can adapt to your requests.
